I had been very self-conscious and unhappy about my nose deformity since my early teens. It was unpleasant in appearance and caused me to have breathing difficulties. Over the years, it had noticeably taken its toll on my confidence, self-esteem and general well-being. Once I decided that surgery was the answer, the biggest task was finding the right doctor. After a lengthy and comprehensive search, which extended overseas, I found Dr Chaplin to be the definitive expert in the field.
This was confirmed during our initial consultation, where he took the time to listen to my concerns, asses the problem and offer solutions.
On the day of surgery and overnight stay, I was made to feel very comfortable and looked after.
It took less than two weeks for the swelling and bruising to fade, during which I felt no pain or major discomfort.
Since then, Dr Chaplin has scheduled a number of follow up appointments, monitoring my recovery. His kind assistant, Sharon, has been very helpful at making the appointments fit around my busy schedule.
The end result has been life changing. Dr Chaplin has managed to drastically improve both the appearance and functionality of my nose. I'm finally able to breathe freely, have a positive outlook towards my appearance and greater zest for life. Not a day goes by that I don't look at the change in the mirror and thank Dr Chaplin for his incredible gift.

I had always been self conscious about my nose but battled personally with the morality of 'plastic surgery'. When I did meet with John Chaplin for the first consultation early in 2010 I was very uncertain of whether or not I would go ahead with the surgery. John was professional and honest and provided me with a digital prediction of how I would look after the procedure. I was put under no pressure whatsoever to commit to a treatment plan.
It took me a few months to decide to go ahead with the surgery. The recovery took around 10 days, and while uncomfortable, was relatively painless. I can tell you now that it has been the single best thing I have ever done for my self esteem. The 'mindspace' that has now been freed up is amazing and I feel beautiful and confident without feeling like I look like a different person. I in fact look like exactly the same person but with a good nose, one without a hump!

For as long as I can remember I have always hated my nose. The front view was okay but the protruding 'bump' from my side view was un-flattering. After watching far too many programs of Extreme Makeover I decided to take the plunge and do something about it.

I now have a fantastic nose and constantly find myself admiring it in the mirror!!! This has made a considerable difference to not only my appearance but also to my confidence. My only regret is not having it done years earlier!
I would like to thank you very much for performing such a first class job on K's nose. He is now noticing such a difference with his breathing in particular. He swam 40m underwater at the Olympic Pool without any pain or problem as part of his badminton training. It is very noticeable that he is breathing through his nose now and he feels so much stronger in training. Cosmetically you also did a fantastic job, it was so subtle no-one really noticed apart from my husband and I which is great. His girlfriend was convinced he would never be the same again but she loved his nose as well!!
